Vividh Bharati, Cuttack – an entertainment channel of All India Radio is one of the primary source of commercial revenue generation for All India Radio since 1st May 1975. The power of transmitter of this channel is 1 KW MW which covers an area of 25 km aerial distance as its primary listening zone with approximately 19 Lakh populations. With the emergence of three private FM channels at Bhubaneswar which is only 12 -15 km aerial distance from Cuttack, the scenario of radio broadcasting has changed tremendously and radio listenership has now been open to greater challenges than ever before.
